Fly Fishing

Anglers from around the world visit the rivers of Aysen for their phenomenal fishing. The Cochrane and Baker Rivers, just outside the park, are renowned for their challenge and abundance, respectively. We must discourage fly-fishing within Patagonia Park as many of our ponds and lagoons are inhabited by endangered fish, such as inanga and perch.

Outside of the park, we recommend and encourage fishing in rivers inhabited by species that are exotic to Patagonia, such as rainbow, brown, and fario trout. The Baker and Cochrane Rivers, as well as Lago Cochrane, offer excellent fishing.

For more details on fishing outside of the park, contact Patagonia Baker Lodge or Green Baker Lodge.
